Conference on Infrastructure Management
“Delivering Value in Turbulent Business Environments”
Wednesday, 01 July 09 : Hotel Taj Mahal, New Delhi
The Infrastructure sector is a creator of opportunities and employment for a large segment of India’s population. This sector also has the potential to make a positive impact on a key global issue – climate change, since infrastructure such as buildings contribute significantly to global warming due to their high energy usage. However, the cost of ownership of such assets is increasing exponentially. Effective management of an organization’s assets therefore has the potential to bring in substantial benefits in these difficult economic times by enhancing the life and value of the assets as well as driving down costs. The turbulence in the business environment thus necessitates that organizations take a paradigm shift in the way Infrastructure Management services are being currently delivered.
The Government recently announced that India needs upwards of $ 500 billion for the infrastructure sector. Investment grade assets will need to be created and efficiently managed to attract this level of investment from external as well as domestic investors and give them a viable ROI. Integrated Infrastructure/Property Management services enable owners to deliver the highest levels of services to occupants/users as well as maintain the asset to global standards, thus making them attractive to investors.
The industry is gearing up to these economic challenges by enhancing professionalism in the engineering services that support infrastructure management, incorporating energy conservation designs, standardization, bench marking, multi-tasking and encouraging lean work environments that enhance long-term value. Infrastructure owners are taking strategic initiatives in upgrading the security of their assets with an aim to safeguard their investments.
Against this background, CII (Delhi State Council) along with C B Richard Ellis as the Knowledge Partner, is organizing a Conference on Infrastructure Management “Delivering Value in Turbulent Business Environments” scheduled from 1000 hrs (Registration: 0900 hrs) to 1800 hrs on Wednesday, 01 July 2009 at Hotel Taj Mahal, Man Singh Road, New Delhi
The conference would provide a platform for the practicing professionals as well as various stakeholders in the industry to share their experiences and thoughts on navigating through these turbulent times. Key objectives of the gathering would be to explore opportunities for cost effective utilization of resources as well as share industry best practices.
