Programme on Employee Training & Development – for Organisation Growth
8th July 2008. Venue: CII office, Gurgaon
Employee Training & Organisation – For Organisation Growth
In the context of global competition and modernization there has been a stark realization that any organization’s strategic edge is through its Human Resources and the ability and speed by which their skills and knowledge are upgraded before the competitors. It is said, if marketing gives you business, training keeps you in business. Training is an important organizational function. It has a major impact on the organization’s ability to become and stay competitive. It also is the way that employees develop and grow.
But the question is that, do the benefits of training outweigh the cost of training? Examples of benefits capable of being calculated include: increased productivity; higher sales; improved quality, lower error rates etc. Another method is based on salary. This involves assigning an individual’s salary cost between the various competencies required to perform the whole job. As a rule of thumb “If a training event improves one of ten required competencies from (say) 50% level to 75%, the value added is 25% of one tenth of the salary”.
With this back ground this program on Employee Training & Development – for Organisation Growth is designed to equip participants to:
Ø Enable participants to understand the concepts and principles for developing result based training programs
Ø Understand and develop skills in identifying training needs and designing and implementing Training Programs
Ø Familiarize the participants with tools and techniques for evaluating training efforts.
