International Technical Seminar on Internal/Homeland Security

Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS) of UK is organizing an International Technical Seminar on Internal/Homeland Security on 4th to 5th February 2009 at Hotel Intercontinental Hotel, New Delhi.
Indian government has been making continuous efforts towards enhancing the capabilities of it’s security agencies to be able to effectively counter the various Internal Security challenges that the country faces today or is likely to face in the future. Technology would have a significant role to play in realizing and acquiring these capabilities. With an aim to supplement the Indian Government’s effort, CII, in association with APPSS, is organizing a two-day technical seminar and exhibition on Internal Security. Apart from spreading awareness among the various central and state-level security agencies and concerned Ministries about the various state-of-the-art technologies and equipment that could assist them while performing crucial operations, the event would provide an ideal platform for the industry to understand the requirements of the various security forces.
The conference would comprise of six substantive sessions, which would focus on the various categories of technologies such as Communication and Surveillance, Information Technology, High Mobility and Specialized Vehicles, Aids to Investigation and Modern Gear for Police Force (General Stores Uniform Items, CBRNE Equipment and Specialist Clothing) etc. The table-top exhibition would enable the participants to project their capabilities and products to a very high level of audience/officials form the various security agencies within India and also the industry members. To enable participants to derive maximum benefit, the event is also packed with structured ‘Business-to-Business Meetings’. The conference will provide an ideal networking opportunity for all in a pleasant environment.
